Trinity Field Hockey Hires Tepper As Assistant Coach

HARTFORD, Conn. - Trinity College  has announced the hiring of Hannah Tepper as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 academic year.  Tepper joins the Trinity coaching staff fresh off an outstanding playing career at Division II Assumption College where she was a team captain for the Greyhounds and helped them to a Northeast-10 title, three NCAA Tournaments, and NCAA Final Four appearances in 2021 and 2022. Tepper graduated from Assumption in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in biology and finished her playing career as a graduate student last fall. She has previously coached with the Warriors Field Hockey Club in Pennsylvania and at Nike camps in New England.

Tepper is the first assistant coach for Jessica Bergen, who was hired as Trinity's next head coach in February.  The Bantams finished the 2022 season with a 15-5 record and tied Amherst and Tufts for second place in the NESCAC with a 7-3 record against conference teams.  The Bantams downed Bowdoin, 2-0, in the NESCAC Quarterfinals but lost against Tufts, 1-0, at Middlebury in the NESCAC Semifinals.  Trinity qualified for their 10th NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, defeating Catholic, 1-0, in the first round, and College of New Jersey, 2-1, at Middlebury in the second round before losing, 3-0, at Middlebury in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
