WATERFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Cross Country team finished 26th in the Men's Blue Race at the 2024 Connecticut College Invite, hosted by the Camels at Harkness State Park on Saturday morning.
Senior Lars Sippel led the Bantams, clocking in at 26:13.10 for a 116th place finish. First-year Tyler Johnson followed closely behind with a time of 26:26.60. Sophomores Dolan Pols and T.J. Sparno finished just three seconds apart, with Pols crossing the line at 27:09.10 and Sparno at 27:11.70. Rookie Jack Hutchins (27:18.60), sophomore Alex Willard (27:56.30), first-year Calix McCormick (28:15.50), and sophomore Teddy Salamone (28:40.70) also contributed to a solid performance for the Bantams.
Trinity had four runners compete in the Men's 8000M White Race, with junior Saqlain Anjum (27:33.30) and sophomore Sam Benham (27:39.30) finishing first for the Bantams. Senior Dylan Idleman (28:25.10) and Quin McGlame (31:42.10) also had strong showings.
The Bantams will next compete at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship on November 2nd in Brunswick, ME, with the race starting at 11 AM.
