MEDFORD, Mass. – The Trinity College Men's Soccer team fell to host Tufts University, 6-0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) battle at Bello Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 2-7 on the season and 0-6 in conference play, while the Jumbos improve to 5-0-1 in NESCAC play and 8-0-2 overall.

The Jumbos broke a scoreless tie in the 10th minute on a goal from senior Ethan Feigin to take a 1-0 lead. With 16:25 remaining in the first half, graduate Liam Gerkin scored off a pass from graduate Max Clivio to make it 2-0, and Gerken provided the helper on a strike from sophomore Xavier Canfin less than three minutes later. Junior Mason Schultz added a goal in the final minutes of the first half to put Tufts on top 4-0 heading into the break.

In the 50th minute of play, graduate Mikey Brady found the back of the net to extend the Jumbos lead to 5-0. Tufts delivered their final goal with 1:55 remaining to send the Jumbos to the 6-0 win.

Tufts controlled the shot column, 23-6, and held the edge in corner kicks, 6-3. Trinity junior goalkeeper Matt Birnhak posted a career-high nine saves, while the Tufts goalkeeping junior Nikola Antic didn't face a shot and sophomore Zach Ubamadu made two saves in relief for the Jumbos.
