MEDFORD, Mass. – The Trinity College Men's Soccer team fell to host Tufts University, 6-0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) battle at Bello Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 2-7 on the season and 0-6 in conference play, while the Jumbos improve to 5-0-1 in NESCAC play and 8-0-2 overall.

The Jumbos broke a scoreless tie in the 10
th minute on a goal from senior Ethan Feigin to take a 1-0 lead. With 16:25 remaining in the first half, graduate Liam Gerkin scored off a pass from graduate Max Clivio to make it 2-0, and Gerken provided the helper on a strike from sophomore Xavier Canfin less than three minutes later. Junior Mason Schultz added a goal in the final minutes of the first half to put Tufts on top 4-0 heading into the break.

In the 50
th minute of play, graduate Mikey Brady found the back of the net to extend the Jumbos lead to 5-0. Tufts delivered their final goal with 1:55 remaining to send the Jumbos to the 6-0 win.

Matt Birnhak posted a career-high nine saves, while the Tufts goalkeeping junior Nikola Antic didn't face a shot and sophomore Zach Ubamadu made two saves in relief for the Jumbos.

The Bantams will look to return to the win column when they travel to Western New England University for a non-conference match Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Tufts travels to Bates for a NESCAC game Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
