ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Trinity College Wrestling squad finished ninth of 14 teams at the 58th Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Invitational Saturday afternoon at Gordon Field House.
 
First-year Ty Trickle finished second overall at the 133-lb weight class, posting a 4-1 record across five matches, winning by fall, technical fall (15-1) and twice by decision (8-3, 11-5). Sophomore Alexander Schaueblin placed fourth in the 125-lb bracket, finishing as runner-up in the consolation bracket with a 3-2 record.
 
Graduate Nicholas Crotty took fifth in the 184-lb weight bracket, delivering a 4-2 record with a pair of victories by fall. Senior Aidan Hebert claimed sixth in the 141-lb class, registering a 4-2 mark with two wins by fall, one by technical fall (17-2) and major decision (13-5).
 
The Bantams will return to the mats at the Manganaro Duals, hosted by Ursinus College on January 11 at 11:00 a.m.
