CLINTON, N.Y. – The fifth-seeded Trinity College Women's Hockey team suffered a 2-0 defeat to four-seed Hamilton College in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Quarterfinals at Russell Sage Rink Saturday evening.

The Bantams sit with a 15-7-2 record and will look to continue their season with a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Championship Tournament. Hamilton improves to 14-5-6 overall and will face top-seeded Amherst College in the Semifinal Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Just over six minutes into the first period and midway through a Bantams power play, the Continentals cracked the scoreboard as Abby Smith netted a short-handed goal to stake Hamilton to a 1-0 lead.

Late in the second period, the Continentals potted an insurance goal as Lydia Bullock found the back of the net on a Hamilton power play.
