#1 Trinity WSQ Defeat #4 Princeton on the Hardwood, 6-3

HARTFORD, Conn. – #1 Women's Squash recorded another victory as they defeated #4 Princeton 6-3 in the George A. Kellner Squash Courts. The Bantams are 9-0 in the season, while Princeton lowers to a 7-2 overall.

Senior captain Nouran Youssef (11-2, 11-9, 11-8) started the day off with a 3-0 sweep over Princetons' Emma Trauber. Teammates Hannah Chukwu (11-7, 6-11, 11-4, 11-1) and Fabiola Cabello (11-9, 6-11, 11-7, 11-9) both collected match points after 3-1 victories over Tigers. 

The Bantams would peck their way to two more match wins after Kara Lincou defeated India Stephenson in four sets (13-11, 9-11, 11-6, 11-6). Jana Safy battled for five sets against her Tiger opponent, wrapping up the match in the fifth, winning 3-2 (11-13, 5-11, 11-3, 11-9, 11-6). Janna Ashmawy was bested on the hardwood, as Princeton collected their first match point of the day after a four set battle (11-9, 3-11, 7-11, 9-11), Bantams lead 5-1.

After a 1-2-3 match, Senior Madeleine Hylland would overpower Princetons' Charlotte Bell lifting the Bantams to a 6-1 lead. In the final matches of the day both Malak Ashraf Kamal and Lulu Palacios fell to the Tigers, Kamal was bested 3-0 while Benitez was topped in the fifth set (3-2). 

The Bantams host the #3 University of Pennsylvania at 1PM on Sunday in the George A. Kellner Squash Courts.
