Men's Lacrosse Downed by Ephs in Conference Play, 17-11

HARTFORD, Conn. - On the Jessee Miller Field, Trinity College Men's Lacrosse hosted Williams College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference clash where the Bantams were bested 17-11 despite a fourth quarter push. Trinity lower 3-4, 0-3 in the season while the Ephs rise 3-2, 2-1. Men's Lacrosse will be back on the road for a match against Clark University on Tuesday, March 26th at 7PM.

In the conference match up the Bantams led the game with 49 shots while the Ephs only took 36. Williams registered 20 saves while Bantams Jordan Opdhal and Alex Acker split time in the net. Opdhal registered three of the nine saves, while Acker denied six during his time in the net. Both teams won 15 face offs each, while the Ephs came up with 49 ground balls over the Bantams' 39.

The Bantams trailed throughout conference play, falling behind 14-6 as the game entered the fourth quarter. Jay Ottomanelli scored his fifth goal of the game to began the fourth for the Bantams, which was answered by a Williams goal shortly after, 15-7. Despite the Ephs lead the Bantams had a late game push where they went on a 4-0 run over six minutes of play. To ignite the run, Bo page netted the first goal after a groundball picked up from causing an Ephs turnover inside their defensive 35, making it a 15-8 game, followed by goals from Jon Krikorian, Pecora, and Andrew Finn to finish off the scoring for the Bantams.

Williams College would collect the 17-11 conference win over the Trinity Bantams.
