HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Williams College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at Trinity Soccer Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 0-5 on the season and 0-3 in conference, while the Ephs improve to 2-1-1 in the NESCAC and 3-2-1 overall.

In the 19
th minute of action, the Ephs were awarded a throw-in deep in the Bantams defensive zone. On the throw, senior Sam Phan controlled the ball and dropped a short pass to classmate Tori Huang at the top of the box, who curled a shot into the upper 90, just beyond the reach of Bantams first-year goalkeeper

With 38:18 remaining in the second half, the Ephs netted an insurance goal as junior Ansley Burns played a cross to the front of net that slipped through the fingers of Bracken and Ephs junior Brianna Wright knocked the loose ball into the open net, sending Williams to the 2-0 win.

The Ephs outshot the Bantams, 15-7, during the contest with both sides earning a pair of corner kick opportunities. Bracken made four saves for Trinity, while junior Margaret Huelin and sophomore Ana Bozzi-Mackay combined for five saves for Williams.

The Bantams will look to capture their first victory when they welcome SUNY-Oneonta to Trinity Soccer Field Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Williams travels to Colby for a NESCAC tilt Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
