Women’s Indoor T&F Opens 2025 Season with Strong Performances at New England Small College Invite

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Indoor Track and Field team entered the 2025 season at the New England Small College Invite, hosted by Middlebury College on Sunday morning at the track at New Balance in Boston, Mass.

First-year Jilly Strynar has done it again, breaking her own 60-meter dash record, that she had set earlier this season, running it in 7.74.

Bantams distance medley squad of senior Vivian Jacobs-Townsley, Jillian Strynar, first-year Paige Orr, and junior Maggie Furer logged a fifth place finish.

There were strong performances from the Bantams with great finishes across all events. first-year Lauren Grattan lept into sixth place in the Women's high jump. With first-year Gabrieanne Chery claiming 9th, setting a personal best for her, and a 14th place finish by sophomore Chole Hertigan.

Senior Savannah Cece logged a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 7th overall, making an early mark in the New England Division III . 

First-year Jenna Najjar logged a personal best in the 200 meter dash clocking in an 11th place finish, also qualifying for the DIII New England Championships.
