Dear Trinity Men's Golf Community, 

I am Thomas Chalfant, a sophomore on the Trinity men's golf team. After a year and a half at Trinity, I find myself extremely lucky to be at such a special place and a part of such a great team. The 12 of us on the team all get along well and love to spend time with each other on and off the golf course. When I came in as a freshman, I noticed how the culture was set around friendships. I believe the closer we are as a team correlates to our success in competition. 

Our team camaraderie and success stems from a large part of those who have provided us the opportunity to do all the things we do as a team. Our team has high-quality branded gear for practice and competition. I love when I wear my Trinity gear away from campus and people come up to me saying they went there or had a son or daughter who went there, and how much they loved Trinity. It reminds me of the everlasting effect the school has. I know 20 years from now I will still follow the golf program and hopefully be fortunate enough to support them.  

Our alumni especially have been so good to us and more than generous to the program. During our spring break trip in Florida, many alumni host us at their golf clubs, and treat us to a nice meal and a wonderful round of golf on a world class golf course. Not only is the golf experience incredible but it gives us a chance to talk to former Bantams and hear what their experience at Trinity was like. That trip last spring was when I really came to appreciate how lucky I am to be a part of this team and community. Thank you to all who have contributed to making myself and all fellow student-athletes' college experience all we could ask for and more.
