AMHERST, Mass. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team fell to host Amherst College, 3-0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilt at Gooding Field Tuesday night. The Bantams close their 2025 campaign with a 6-7-2 record and a 2-7-1 mark in conference, while the Mammoths improve to 10-3-2 overall and 5-3-2 in the NESCAC.
What Happened:
- In the 19th minute, the Mammoths broke a scoreless tie as Caroline Coletti converted off a corner kick to stake Amherst to the 1-0 lead.
- Just over 20 minutes later, Coletti connected with Emma Darling to help extend the lead to 2-0.
- In the 57th minute, Darling potted her second goal of the game off a feed from Kate Quigley to give Amherst the decisive 3-0 win.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Bantams posted five shots with two on frame, while the Mammoths generated five shots on goal on eight attempts.
- Each side earned a trio of corner kick opportunities, and Amherst drew more foul calls, 6-3.
- Lily Bracken made two saves for Trinity, while Lulu Fickes stopped two shots for the Mammoths.
