HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College volleyball team concluded its season with a 3–0 loss to Bowdoin College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) matchup at Oosting Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. With the result, the Bantams finished the year 12–11 overall and 2–8 in conference play, while the Polar Bears improved to 14–9 overall and 6–4 in the NESCAC.

What Happened

• Despite Bowdoin's strong attack and steady defense, the Bantams battled throughout the match, keeping rallies alive and showing resilience in each set.

• Trinity stayed close in the opening frame before Bowdoin pulled away late to take a 25–20 win. The second set featured back-and-forth play, but a late surge from the Polar Bears lifted them to a 25–21 victory. In the third, the Bantams regrouped and fought through extended rallies with scrappy defensive play, but Bowdoin held firm to close out the match, 25–23.

Bantam Leaders

• First-year Emma Ewart, senior Ellie Gordon, and senior Maggie Barnes each recorded seven kills. Senior Caroline Howell dished out 14 assists, while junior Catalina Hendricks added 13.

• Defensively, sophomore Maya Hall and senior Chloe Gentile each registered a solo block, with first-year Amy Boller contributing three block assists and Hall adding two more. Junior Scarlett Jago led the Bantams with 13 digs, followed by eight from Hendricks and seven from Ewart.
