ORLANDO, Fla. – The Trinity College Women's Tennis team kicked off their spring break matches in Orlando, Fla., with a strong start, securing a 6-1 victory over SUNY New Paltz and a 5-2 win against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. These wins bring the Bantams to an even 3-3 record on the season, while the Hawks suffer their first loss (7-1), and the Blugolds drop to 8-6.
The Bantams faced the Hawks early Monday morning, clinching the match when Hellena Trojer secured the fourth point for Trinity with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Alyssa Trokie.
Later in the day, Trinity squared off against Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The match started with singles play, where the Bantams took a commanding 4-2 lead, securing the overall victory before moving into doubles competition. In both matchups, Trinity's doubles teams earned the additional point by winning two of the three doubles matches.
