HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College first-year
Ty Broad (Buffalo, N.Y.) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Year as four members of the Trinity College Men's Ice Hockey team claimed NESCAC All-Conference honors, announced Wednesday.

All four Bantams were first-time recipients, led by senior
Theodore Griffin (Marshfield, Mass.) and junior
Spencer Korona (Enfield, Conn.) as First Team selections, while Broad and sophomore
Jakob Karpa (Novi, Mich.) took home Second Team honors.

Broad is the first Bantam to be tabbed as Rookie of the Year since Lucas Michaud in 2019, and the third in program history, joining Michaud and Ryan Cole (2014). Broad paced the Bantams offense with a team-high 11 goals and second-most points with 20. Broad dished out nine assists and posted a +15 plus/minus rating with eight blocked shots.

Griffin, a defensive stalwart for the Bantams, registered 11 points with two goals and nine assists in 25 games played. Griffin logged a +15 plus/minus rating and 17 blocked shots with 55 shots on goal.

Korona claimed his first All-Conference honor after posting a career-high 27 points with five goals and a career-high 22 assists. Korona led the Bantams with a career-high +19 plus/minus rating and tallied a .537 (256-221) win percentage in the faceoff circle. Korona added 14 blocked shots on the defensive end.

Karpa recorded a career-high eight points with a career-high two goals and a career-high six assists. Karpa fired a career-high 32 shots and blocked a career-high 27 shots, along with a career-high +13 plus/minus rating.
