BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Trinity College Baseball team dropped a 6-3 non-conference tilt to host Babson College at Govoni Field Wednesday afternoon. The Bantams move to 6-11 on the season, while the Beavers are 12-5 overall.

The Beavers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI groundout from Brant Savage, but Trinity responded with three runs in the second.
Tyler Bernstein and
Ryder Aubin led off the frame with back-to-back singles, and then scored on a two-run double from
Andrew Park to put the Bantams ahead 2-1. Park came around to score on a sac fly from
Brett Stone to extend the gap to 3-1.

Babson narrowed the deficit with an RBI single from Cushner in the second, and then evened as Ryan Liss touched home on an error to make it a 3-3 game after four innings. The Beavers regained the lead with a two-run fifth inning, featuring RBIs from Walter Sadowsky and Zander Teator, and then Teator tacked on an RBI double in the seventh to push the advantage to 6-3.

Trinity starter Quinn Sotero gave up two runs, one earned, with two strikeouts in three innings of work, while
Andrew Castaneda and
Brendan Grady each logged a strikeout in clean innings of relief. Aubin went 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Park drove in a pair and scored.

The Bantams will be back on the diamond when they host Colby College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) doubleheader against Colby College (10-6, 0-0 NESCAC) Friday afternoon. First pitch of the opener is slated for 12:00 p.m.
