CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Trinity College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field teams wrapped up their season on Thursday, May 15th, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Final Qualifier Meet.

The Bantams were represented across several events, with the women competing in the hammer throw, high jump, 4x100-meter relay, 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes. On the men's side, Trinity participated in the triple jump and 200-meter dash.

  • In the women's hammer throw, Amaya Pendleton recorded a mark of 44.01 meters on her second attempt, earning a 13th-place finish.
  • Gabrieanne Cherry and Lauren Grattan both came close to national qualifying marks in the high jump, narrowly missing 1.68 meters on back-to-back attempts.
  • The women's 4x100-meter relay team—comprising Ava Dubois, Jillian Strynar, Jenna Najjar, and Brooke Scott—closed out the season strong with a time of 48.49 seconds, placing 4th overall.

  • Jillian Strynar placed 6th in the 100m dash, clocking 12.27.

  • Jenna Najjar finished 9th in the 200m (25.44) and 7th in the 400m (58.26).

Bantam Men:

  • In the triple jump, Donovan Koukal-Kollie posted a mark of 13.79 meters on his sixth attempt, landing a 5th-place finish.

  • Zuri Johnson ran a strong 200m dash, finishing 5th with a time of 21.68.

  • First-year Arinze Okigbo placed 12th in the same event, clocking 22.66.

Head Coach John Michael Mason praised the team's performance and resilience in the season:

"Very proud of how this team fought to the last possible day of the season. We had multiple Bantams narrowly miss national qualifiers this May, including during our final day of competition Thursday. The exciting thing is we have a young team, and our highest-ranked Bantams have many years ahead. There's a good energy in the program heading into next year."
