PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The top-ranked Trinity College Men's Rowing team had their 1V8 crew claim the 2025 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Division III Varsity 8+ National Championship at the IRA Championships Saturday afternoon. As a team, the Bantams finished second overall for the points trophy with 48 points.

The Bantams 1V8 secured the program's first National Championship victory with a time of 5:40.360, besting team champions Tufts University by nearly two seconds (5:42.030). The Trinity 1V8 crew consists of coxswain

Quin Woods,
James McGarry,
Jackson Moore,
Felix Goldmann,
Owen Myers, and
Jack Lambros. Bates finished third (5:45.520), followed by Williams (5:47.440), Wesleyan (5:50.870) and Colby (6:09.100).

The Bantams 2V8 boat finished fifth in the Varsity 2
nd 8+ race, posting a time of 6:10.700. Tufts won the event at 5:53.056, edging Williams (5:53.336), Colby (6:00.270), Wesleyan (6:00.710), Trinity and Ithaca (6:21.370).

With the victory, the Bantams become the fourth straight New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) school to win the Division III IRA Championship since the inception of the IRA Championship in 2022. The win gives the NESCAC Conference 180 National Title victories all-time across the NCAA, College Squash Association (CSA) and IRA.
