Women's Soccer, Keene State Battle In 1-1 Draw

KEENE, N.H. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team played host Keene State to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference tilt at the Owl Athletic Complex Tuesday night. The Bantams move to 5-4-2 on the season, while the Owls sit at 4-5-4 overall.

What Happened:
  • The Bantams offense struck first in the opening minutes of play as Caroline Kelleher fired a shot on frame, which was turned away by Owls keeper Michaela DiCiccio, but the loose ball found the foot of Iva Carton, who buried a shot to the back of the net, handing Trinity the 1-0 lead.
  • Trinity looked to add to their lead in the 19th minute as DiCiccio stopped a shot from Carton, and then Keene State defenders blocked follow-up attempts from Carton and Reese Hunter.
  • Following the Bantams barrage, the Owls responded as Elise Saab sent an up-field pass to Elizabeth Tschudin, who advanced to the Bantams zone and fire a shot from outside the box beyond the reach of Trinity keeper Zoe Tamborello, knotting the game at 1-1.
  • The Bantams produced four shots on frame to close the first half but came up empty against DiCiccio. The keepers posted clean sheets in the second half, with Tamborello logging two saves, while DiCiccio made six saves, including a trio of stops in the final five minutes to preserve the 1-1 scoreboard.
