Madeline Carter Named NESCAC Player of the Week

| By:
HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College Women's Hockey junior Madeline Carter (Oak Park, Ill.) was tabbed as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday. Carter is the second Bantam to earn Player of the Week honors, joining first-year Nani Keyes.

Carter was vital to the Bantams securing a pair of ties in a home-and-home series versus No. 4 Amherst en route to her first Player of the Week honor. The junior stopped 77 of 79 shots faced for a .975 save percentage during the home-and-home series. Carter is one of six goaltenders to hold the Mammoths to one goal or less during the season.

Carter and the Bantams will look to secure a spot in the NESCAC postseason when they battle Wesleyan University this weekend for a home-and-home series. Trinity will host the Cardinals on Friday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m., followed by the regular season finale at Wesleyan on Saturday, February 21 at 3:00 p.m.
