Vetter, Okorougo Collect National and Regional Accolades

HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Men's Basketball seniors Henry Vetter (Kenilworth, Ill.) and Jarrel Okorougo (Stoneham, Mass.) collected postseason accolades from D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), announced this week.
 
Vetter was tabbed as an NABC All-American Second Team selection, an NABC All-District First Team selection, and D3hoops.com All-Region First Team honors. With back-to-back NABC All-American nods, Vetter joins Tyler Rhoten (2003-06) to earn two or more All-American designations. He is the third three-time First Team All-District honoree, joining Carl Rapp (1979-82) and Rhoten, and becomes the fourth player to receive two First Team selections (Ken Abere, Colin Tabb, Rhoten). Vetter is the first player in program history to claim three D3hoops.com First Team All-Region selections. This season, Vetter became the program's all-time leader in games played (121) and three-point field goals made (241) and is the third all-time in career points (1,712)
 
Okorougo becomes the seventh player in program history to receive two or more NABC All-District selections and is the second player in program history to earn two-plus D3hoops.com All-Region noms. Okorougo delivered career-highs in field goals (199), points (467) and scoring (15.6) while moving into fifth in career points in program history (1,384). Okorougo ranks fourth in program history in career field goals made (588), five in career field goal attempts (1,183) and eighth in career rebounds (730).
 
Vetter, Okorougo and the Bantams are heading to their third straight NCAA Championship Tournament Semifinal to face-off with fifth-ranked University of Mary Washington (28-3) at the Allen Country War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, March 21 at 8:00 p.m.
