HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Women's Basketball junior
Marlo Simms (Decatur, Ga.) was tabbed New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Region Fourth Team, announced by the association on Monday.
Simms is the seventh player to receive NEWBA All-Region status in program history, and gives Trinity five straight NEWBA All-Region selections. Simms receives her first All-Region accolade after posting career-highs in points (283), rebounds (272), field goal percentage (.527) field goals made (126), assists (19) and blocks (17). Simms was the lone player in the NESCAC to average a double-double on the season, posting 11.9 points and a league-high 11.3 rebounds per game. Simms ranks fourth all-time in single-season rebounds, and fifth all-time in single-season rebounding average. The junior logged 14 double-doubles on the season, fourth-most in a season in program history. Simms was a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference Second Team selection as well.
