HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College senior
Alex Lesko (Villanova, Pa.) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. This is Lesko's first Player of the Week honor, and she's the first to win the award since Molly McGuckin in 2023.
Lesko led the Bantams to a pair of victories over fifth-ranked Amherst, tallying seven points with five goals and two assists. In a 10-7 win over the Mammoths to earn home-field advantage in the NESCAC Tournament, Lesko potted a goal with two assists. During the NESCAC Quarterfinal battle, Lesko netted two first-quarter goals to keep things close and then ignited a three-goal spurt in the fourth to propel Trinity to the 9-8 victory.
Lesko and the Bantams will return to action when they travel to Middlebury to battle the top-ranked Panthers in the NESCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Semifinals on Saturday, May 2 at Noon.
