Baseball Lands Four All-Region Selections

HARTFORD, Conn. – Four members of the Trinity College Baseball team were chosen for the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division III All-Region, announced Tuesday. Senior Tyler Bernstein (Ponte Verde, Fla.) and sophomore Timothy Domizio (Fairfield, Conn.) were selected to the Region 1 First Team, while junior Aidan Stern (South Salem, N.Y.) and first-year Andrew Oppenheimer (Westport, Conn.) were Third Team honorees.
 
Bernstein wrapped his Bantams career in style, pairing First Team All-Region with the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Year award and First Team All-Conference. Bernstein is the seventh player in program history to earn multiple All-Region nods, and the fifth player to claim NESCAC Player of the Year, NESCAC All-Conference First Team and ABCA/Rawling All-Region First Team in the same season. Bernstein led the Bantams with a 1.093 OPS with a .373/.466/.627 slash line in 41 games, while pacing Trinity in hits (59), home runs (10), runs batted in (42), and stolen bases (25). Bernstein led the NESCAC in runs scored, while ranking in the top 10 in batting average, OPS, hits, home runs, RBI, total bases (93), slugging percentage and stolen bases. Berstein is the program's all-time leader in on-base percentage (.542) and stolen bases (84), while sitting second in walks (104), fourth in runs (154) and triples (9), eighth in sacrifice hits (13), ninth in home runs (17) and tenth in total bases (249) in 133 career games.
 
Domizio grabs First Team honors after posting career-highs in batting average (.338), OPS (1.061), runs (44), hits (52), doubles (13), home runs (10), runs batted in (42), total bases (99), slugging percentage (.643), on-base percentage (.418) and stolen bases (15). Domizio ranked in the top five in the NESCAC in runs (2nd), OPS (3rd), doubles (5th), home runs (t-1st), RBI (2nd), total bases (1st), and slugging percentage (2nd).
 
Stern collects his first All-Region nod after leading the NESCAC in on-base percentage (.520) while ranking second in OPS (1.096), doubles (14) and bases on balls (29), fifth in batting average (.383), seventh in slugging percentage (.568), eighth in total bases (71), and ninth in runs (38). Serving as the Bantams primary catcher in 36 games, Stern caught 13 runners trying to steal, third-most in the conference. All-time, Stern ranks second in stolen bases (57), third in hit by pitches (28), sixth in on-base percentage (.477), eighth in base on balls (70), and tenth in stolen base percentage (.876, 57-65).
 
In his debut season, Oppenheimer becomes the first Bantam first-year to receive All-Region honors after leading the Bantams rotation in ERA (3.67) and wins (8). Oppenheimer posted an 8-1 record in 11 appearances, including nine starts, with 24 strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched and opponents holding a .246 batting average. Oppenheimer ranked second in the conference in wins, fifth in innings pitched, and ninth in ERA and opponent batting average.
 
The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced across all 10 regions. Selections were voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
