Men's Basketball Earns NABC Academic Honors

| By:
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Basketball team was selected as a recipient of the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Excellence Award, announced on Wednesday. Seniors Henry Vetter (Kenilworth, Ill.) and Trevor McDonald (Natick, Mass.) were selected to the NABC Honors Court.

For the sixth-time in program history, the Bantams received the Team Excellence Award, while Vetter and McDonald claim Honors Court status in back-to-back seasons, becoming the third and fourth players in program history to earn the award in consecutive seasons, joining Connor Merinder and Will Dorion. The Bantams had four New England Small College Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference selections, and sophomore Samuel Norris was tabbed as the Men's Basketball NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.
