HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College women's golf team enters the 2026-27 season with a talented and experienced roster, returning seven players from last year's squad while welcoming three first-years to the program. The Bantams will look to build on a strong finish to the 2025-26 campaign and continue their climb within the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

• Trinity returns a strong core led by sophomore CC Kaplan, who enjoyed a historic first-year season in 2025-26. Kaplan became the first player in program history to shoot under par in a round when she carded a one-under-par 71 during the opening round of the UHart/Trinity Invitational at Rockledge Golf Club. She went on to win the individual title after finishing the tournament at five-over par (71-78), helping the Bantams capture the team championship.
• Kaplan continued to lead Trinity at the NESCAC Championship, finishing as the Bantams' top individual golfer after carding rounds of 76, 79, and 78 at Taconic Golf Club. Her breakout season gives Trinity a strong foundation heading into her sophomore campaign.
• The Bantams also return senior Koto Freeman and junior Meg Lavinder, who both contributed throughout the 2025-26 season. Lavinder consistently competed near the top of Trinity's lineup and posted several strong finishes during the season, including a fourth-place individual finish at the Battle at Bulls Bridge after shooting an 80.
• Junior Mia Lombardi returns after gaining valuable championship experience during her first two seasons. Lombardi competed in the NESCAC Championship and played a key role during Trinity's spring schedule, including a strong final round at the UHart/Trinity Invitational.
• Sophomore Kira Kilgore and junior Selam Olson also return after gaining collegiate experience last season, giving the Bantams additional depth heading into the fall. Senior Mali Van rounds out Trinity's returning group and provides veteran leadership for a roster that features four juniors and two seniors.
• The Bantams closed the 2025-26 campaign with one of their strongest performances of the season, capturing the UHart/Trinity Invitational team title at Rockledge Golf Club. Kaplan claimed individual medalist honors, while several Bantams finished inside the top 10 to help Trinity secure the championship.
• Trinity carried that momentum into the NESCAC Championship, where the Bantams finished seventh overall. Kaplan led the team throughout the three-day championship, while Lavinder, Lombardi, Van, and Freeman also contributed to Trinity's championship lineup.
• Trinity welcomes three first-years to the program for the 2026-27 season: Amelia Dickerson of Fort Worth, Texas, Zorah Williams of Mystic, Connecticut, and Alexandra Young of Woodstock, New York. The trio joins a returning group with significant tournament experience and gives head coach Andra Frappier additional depth heading into the new season.

The Bantams open the 2026-27 season at the Polar Bear Shootout, hosted by Bowdoin College at Brunswick Golf Club in Brunswick, Maine, on September 12-13. Trinity will then compete at the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club on September 26 before heading to the Wesleyan Golf Invitational October 3-4. With a strong returning core, two senior leaders, and three newcomers, Trinity looks to continue building on last season's progress and make another push toward the top of the NESCAC standings in 2026-27.
