Volleyball Set For Home Opener Weekend; 2026 Preview

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Volleyball team will look to build on a 12-win campaign in 2025 as the Bantams enter the 2026 season under the guidance of head coach Jen Bowman. Trinity returns a veteran group led by five seniors, including four players who saw significant action last season, while welcoming two first-years to the roster. The Bantams will open their 2026 campaign on Saturday, September 5th against SUNY Canton (12PM) and Husson University (3PM) in Oosting Gymnasium.

  • Last season, Trinity logged a 12-11 record with a 2-8 mark in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play. The Bantams finished the season with 1,077 kills, 1,003 assists, 126 service aces, and 1,609 digs while hitting .176 as a team.
  • Trinity averaged 12.7 kills, 11.8 assists, 1.5 service aces, 18.9 digs, and 1.5 blocks per set during the 2025 season. The Bantams also limited opponents to a .156 hitting percentage while averaging 11.0 opponent kills per set.
  • Senior Scarlett Jago returns for her fourth season with the Bantams after serving as a key defensive presence in 2025. Jago appeared in all 23 matches and recorded a team-high 373 digs, averaging 4.55 digs per set. She also contributed 92 assists and six service aces.
  • Senior Bella Nash returns for her fourth season after appearing in 21 matches last year. Nash registered 193 digs and 24 assists while providing depth in the back row.
  • Senior Chloe Gentile returns to the middle after appearing in all 23 matches and making 23 starts in 2025. Gentile recorded 95 kills and 32 errors on 283 attacks for a .223 hitting percentage while adding 53 total blocks and 134.0 points.
  • Senior Catalina Hendricks returns for her fourth season after leading the Bantams with 436 assists in 2025. Hendricks appeared in all 23 matches and averaged 5.19 assists per set while adding 30 kills, 27 service aces, and 57.0 points.
  • Senior Grace Soltis returns after appearing in six matches last season. Soltis recorded three kills and one assist while providing additional experience along the front line.
  • Junior Maya Hall returns after a strong sophomore campaign in which she started all 23 matches. Hall ranked second on the team with 145 kills and posted a .264 hitting percentage, while adding 50 errors on 360 attacks. She also contributed 48 total blocks and 12 service aces.
  • Junior Annette Schlunk returns after appearing in 17 matches, including 11 starts, in 2025. Schlunk recorded 52 kills, 31 digs, 12 service aces, and 11 total blocks while averaging 1.44 kills per set.
  • Junior Maya Pace returns to the setter position after appearing in 10 matches last season. Pace recorded 36 assists and two kills in 2025 while adding one service ace.
  • Sophomore Emma Ewart returns after an encouraging first-year campaign in which she appeared in 21 matches, including 19 starts. Ewart recorded 139 kills and 158.5 points while adding 181 digs and 13 service aces.
  • Sophomore Sarah Jeremias returns after appearing in 23 matches, including 12 starts, last season. Jeremias recorded 101 kills, 193 digs, 16 service aces, and 12 assists while averaging 1.60 kills and 3.06 digs per set.
  • Sophomore Amy Boller returns after appearing in 12 matches as a first-year. Boller recorded 46 kills and 56.0 points while adding four assists and two service aces.
  • Sophomore Erica Biner returns after appearing in 12 matches last season. Biner recorded eight kills, two assists, and 10.0 points while providing versatility across the court.
  • Sophomore Tallulah Glancy and sophomore Madeleine Aldecoa return after seeing limited action as first-years in 2025. Aldecoa recorded four kills on seven attacks, hitting .571, while Glancy appeared in two matches.
  • The Bantams will need to replace several members of last year's team, including Ellie Gordon, who led Trinity with 266 kills and 288.5 points in 2025. Gordon averaged 3.37 kills per set and finished the season with a .222 hitting percentage. Trinity will also replace Caroline Howell, who led the team with 350 assists and averaged 4.38 assists per set.
  • Trinity welcomes two first-years to the 2026 roster in Keira Sky Pierce and Trinity Fore, adding youth to a group that returns significant experience from last season. Pierce joins the Bantams as a setter, while Fore is a 6-foot-2 middle blocker.
  • The Bantams return a strong offensive foundation from 2025, with Hall, Ewart, Gentile, Jeremias, and Schlunk all returning after combining for more than 680 kills last season. The group will look to help fill the production lost with the graduation of Gordon.
  • Trinity also returns its top setter from 2025 in Hendricks, while Jago and Nash provide veteran leadership in the back row. Together, the senior group gives the Bantams experience at several key positions heading into the 2026 campaign.
  • Head coach Jen Bowman enters the 2026 season at the helm of the Trinity volleyball program. Bowman will look to lead a veteran Bantam squad back into contention in the competitive NESCAC, with Trinity returning the majority of its 2025 roster and adding two first-years.
