HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Soccer team captured their first victory of the season, defeating the University of Hartford in a cross-town battle at the Trinity Soccer Field Sunday evening. The Bantams improve to 1-1 on the season, while the Hawks move to 1-1 overall.
What Happened:
- In the 42nd minute, the Bantams advanced the ball through the midfield, where Owen Myers split a pair of Hartford defenders with a pass to Charles Desautels, who tucked a shot past Hawks goalkeeper Cristian Vitti, to register his first career goal and hand Trinity the 1-0 lead.
- Trinity looked to add an insurance goal late but Vitti denied a header from Dillon Reilly and a strike from Myers to keep the game at 1-0 at the final whistle.
