Biography

AS A SENIOR IN 2019: Returns to the team after a year hiatus.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016: Made 11 tackles and added 2 sacks and 3 tackles for a loss in a 36-28 win over Tufts to earn NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

AS A FIRST-YEAR IN 2015: T4th on team in tackles for a loss....had a season-high five tackles and two tackles for loss in season opener against Colby.

BEFORE TRINITY: All-conference and All-State selection for his high school team that won league and State titles...prepped for a year at Cheshire Academy where he earned all-league recognition...also lettered scholastically in lacrosse and rugby.

PERSONAL: Majoring in political science...son of Michael and Christine Smerczynski...father played football and baseball at Harvard...mother ran cross country at Regis.
