BEFORE TRINITY: Captain of his high school team...also starred scholastically in basketball and football...also attended Cheshire Academy.

PERSONAL: Also plays football for the Bantams...plays piano...would like to attend graduate school...majoring in economics and mathematics...son of Deborah Hamel and Jeff Whitman...father played baseball at Central Florida and brother, Blaise, plays baseball at Rhode Island.
