Jessica Bergen enters her third season as Trinity College Head Field Hockey Coach for the 2025 season. Last season, Bergen helped the Bantams gleaned a 5-10 record with a 1-9 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

During her tenure, four players have earned All-Conference and All-Region accolades, along with a 2023 NFCHA All-American selection (Jackie Frank). Bergen has coached 13 Academic All-Conference honorees in two season, including seven selection in 2024.

In her inaugural season at the helm, Bergen posted a 9-7 record with a 4-6 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The Bantams earned the eighth-seed in the NESCAC Field Hockey Championship Tournament, falling to top-seed and eventual National Champions Middlebury College, 6-1.

Prior to Trinity, Bergen served as Head Field Hockey Coach at Westfield State University from 2012-2022. Bergen registered an 85-101 record with the Owls, ranking second in program history in coaching wins. Bergen guided Westfield State to Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships in 2014 and 2021. During her 11 seasons at the helm, the Owls made five Little East Conference (LEC) Championship Tournament appearances, including a run to the Championship game in 2017. Bergen received Little East Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2021.
Bergen began her coaching career at Springfield College, where she was an assistant coach from 2008 to 2010, helping the Pride capture the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) crown and earn a berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament in her first season. Springfield finished as the NEWMAC runner-up in Bergen's second year, and she went on to serve as head coach at Southwick-Tolland High School in Massachusetts from 2010 to 2012

A 2008 graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Bergen competed on four nationally-ranked field hockey teams, participated in four Liberty League Championships, and hosted two NCAA regional matches advancing to the second round of the tournament.  She was also a member of the softball program and SAAC during her time at Skidmore. Bergen earned a Master of Science in exercise science with a concentration in sport and exercise psychology from Springfield College.
