BEFORE TRINITY: Captain, scholar-athlete award recipient and twice all-conference in high school...totaled 80 tackles, two interceptions, six fumble recoveries, and five sacks and added four pass receptions for 80 yards, a touchdown, and a two-point conversion as a senior in high school...also starred scholastically in wrestling in high school.

PERSONAL: Played baritone saxophone in high school...enjoys fishing and golfing with his grandparents...majoring in chemistry...son of Sheila and Mark DePonte.

WHY I CHOSE TRINITY: I chose Trinity because of its challenging academics, good reputation, and general atmosphere.
