Paul Russell

Paul Russell enters his first season as Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach with the Bantams for the 2024-25 season.

Paul joins the Bantams staff after serving as an assistant coach at Curry College for the past two seasons. With the help of Russell, the Colonels posted a 43-12-2 record, including a pair of 20-win seasons, with a 31-7-1 mark in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. The Colonels advanced to the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship Quarterfinals twice while Russell was at Curry, earning a Top-10 ranking both seasons, including being ranked sixth in the nation at the end of the 2023-24 season. Before joining the Curry staff, Russell spent two seasons with the Crimson Hockey Club as a skills coach and U16 head coach.

As a student-athlete, Russell was a member of the Norwich University Men’s Ice Hockey program for four seasons. Russell registered 54 career points with 35 goals and 19 assists in 95 career games. Rusell and the Cadets made three trips to the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship Tournament, and won the program’s fourth National Championship during his senior season in 2017. Russell led the Cadets in goals as a junior and helped Norwich to a pair of East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) East Championships (2014, 2015) and a New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Title in 2017. Russell was a two-time NEHC All-Academic Team selection, and earned NEHC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors. Russell graduated from Norwich in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
