Biography
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2019-20: Returning starter in the second-varsity eight.
AS A ROOKIE IN 2018-19: Won a gold medal with the novice eight at the Head of the Fish Regatta.
BEFORE TRINITY:Â Four-time gold medalist in the Midwest Junior Rowing Championships...rowed for a crew that was ranked No. 6 national in 2017 and No. 10 in the nation in 2018...shares the world record with his U19 lightweight crew for the small team longest continual row.Â
PERSONAL:Â Received an invitation to the USRowing U-23 Selection Camp in the spring of 2020...enjoys photography...hopes to go into urban planning or architecture after college...majoring in urban studies with an architectural studies minor...son of Susan and Doug Wenk and one of three triplets...grandfather, Tom Purcell, played baseball at Xavier University.
