HARTFORD, Conn. — After serving as an intern for the Strength & Conditioning program in the fall of 2022, Matt Violette joins the staff as a full-time Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2023-24 campaign. Violette will also serve as the assistant men's soccer coach in the fall of 2023.
Violette earned a bachelors in exercise science from Central Connecticut State University, where he also assisted the Blue Devils as a Strength & Conditioning Intern for the spring 2022 season. At CCSU, Violette observed and assisted with track and field, throwers, women's volleyball, football, men's basketball, men's soccer and baseball, while also assisting football with summer conditioning. Prior to collegiate work, Violette served as a Volunteer Strength & Conditioning Coach at Plainville High School in the summer of 2021, and was previously a Volunteer Assistant Soccer Coach from 2016-20 with the Plainville Soccer Club.
