Prior to the start of the fall 2022 slate, Trinity College hired Sam Howard as a new assistant men's soccer coach and he will assist with the Bantams' goalkeepers.
Howard spent the last six years playing professional soccer both internationally and in the States. He began is soccer career with the Sweden soccer team IFK Amal in 2016 until he went to Chicago Fire in 2018. Shortly after, Howard signed with Fresno FC in California until it was dissolved in 2019.
Howard played a year with the Union Omaha team in Nebraska for its debut season in 2020 before signing with OKC Energy the following year.
In January 2022, Howard signed with Valley United in Arizona then transferred to the Hartford Athletic in July of this year before he made the short leap to Trinity.
He spent two years at Kenyon College before transferring to La Salle University. At La Salle, Howard played varsity soccer and earned is bachelor's in political science in 2015. He continued his education with a post graduate degree from Howard University in International and Global studies, while also playing varsity soccer.
