AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2017-18: Member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
AS A FIRST YEAR IN 2016-17: Scored in three events in the NESCAC Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 1,650-yard free, an eighth-place performance in the 400-yard IM, and a 10th-place showing in the 1,000-yard free...set new Trinity records in the 1,650-yard freestyle at 16:15.62 and in the 400-yard individual medley at 4:07.42...swam Trinity's second-fastest top time in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:42.86) and the 200-yard IM (1:56.78), its sixth-fastest top time in the 200-yard butterfly, and its ninth-fastest top time in the 500-yard freestyle (4:50.92)...CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention.
BEFORE TRINITY: Captain and highest point scorer for his high school team that qualified for the Bath Cup National Championships...also starred scholastically in water polo.
PERSONAL: Won an award in high school for mathematics...volunteers at a local charity shop...interned at Guys and St. Thomas' Hospital, Hornsey Health Care, and the UCL Institute of Opthalmology...participated in a school conservation expedition to Madagascar with Operation Wallacea...certified lifeguard and scuba diver...majoring in environmental science and political science with a minor in Russian...son of Vladimir Kapanadze and Marina Leonidova.
