Trinity College

BEFORE TRINITY: State Champion javelin thrower and decathlete (3-man team) and All-State in the discus throw (5th) and the shot put (9th) in high school...posted career bests of 43.08 meters in the javelin throw, 38.78 meters in the discus throw, 12.50 meters in the shot put, and 4,665 points in the decathlon in high school...also ran cross country in high school.

PERSONAL: Lives on an old-fashioned sugarbush where they make syrup using metal buckets, a horse-drawn wagon, and a wood-fired evaporator..received a Mlost Dedicated Musicain Award in high school...member of his high school band, its jazz band, athletic council, robotocs club, and math league...plays the french horn and trumpet...played in the Vermont All-State Band, the New England Music Festival Orchestra, and the John Philip Sousa National High School Honor Band...finalist for the National Merit Scholarship...plans to major in engineering...son of Ben and Julie Chiappinelli...mother ran track at Bowdoin College and aunt, Stacy, ran track for St. Lawrence University

WHY I CHOSE TRINITY: I chose Trinity because it was the perfect fit for me. It had a Division III track team, a liberal arts education, a strong engineering program, it is within a days drive of home, and it is a relatively small school.
