Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2013-14: Earned NESCAC All-Academic distinction for her work in the classroom... won the 1,500m run at the ECSU Invitational... set a new personal best in the mile run at the Smith Invitational... finished 5th at the Wesleyan Invitational and 8th at the Connecticut College Invitational in the 1,500m run.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012-13: Earned All-New England honors in the 2012 outdoor season in the 4x800 m relay (7th).
PERSONAL: Joined the team in 2013 after playing soccer for the Bantams in 2011 and 2012...starred scholastically in soccer, basketball, and track and field...interned at the Hartford Public Library where she helped organize a community conversation about mental health...did research on the impact of non-profit housing and home ownership on low-income neighborhoods for Hartford's Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance...helped restore Wickham Park after Hurricane Irene in Northern Connecticut...participated in a Relay for Life dodgeball tournament...participated in Habitat for Humanity...majoring in urban studies and French Language & Literature...daughter of Kevin and Theresa Maguire...twin sister, Kelly, runs track at Loyola (Md.).
