New London, Conn. - The visiting Trinity College Bantam field
hockey team secured a 5-1 New England Small College Athletic
Conference (NESCAC) victory against the Connecticut College Camels
on Silfen Field this afternoon. The Bantams improve to 5-4
with a 4-2 record in the NESCAC. The Camels drop to 5-3 with a 2-3
mark in league action.
Senior co-captain Robyn Williams (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) had two
goals and one assist for the visitors, while junior Payson Sword
(Princeton, N.J.) had a goal and an assist, accounting for what
proved to be the difference maker with 16:28 in the first
half. Connecticut College senior forward Abby Hine (Madison,
Conn.) scored a goal, and Aimee Rich had eight saves in the Camel
cage. Trinity junior Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) made
one save in the win for the Bantams.
