Princeton, N.J. – The Trinity College Bantams defeated the
Stanford University Cardinal, 7-2, in the College Squash
Association (CSA) National Team Championship Tournament (Howe Cup)
at Princeton University's Jadwin Courts this afternoon.
Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the nation, improves to 14-2 with its
second consecutive win, and will face the No. 2-ranked Harvard
University Crimson in teh Howe Cup Semifinals tomorrow at 11:30
a.m. at Princeton. Stanford drops to 7-6 and will play
Cornell in a consolation match tomorrow.
Trinity led, 2-1, after the first wave of matches thanks to a
3-2 triumph by sophomore Alicia Rodriguez (San Luis Potosi,
Mexico) and a 3-0 shutout senior tri-captain Robyn
Williams (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) in the No. 6 and No. 9
matches, respectively, and won five of the final six
matches.
