Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore Whitney Hartmeyer
(Locust Valley, N.Y.) allowed just two total points in the
No. 9 position to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 victory
over the visiting Connecticut College Camels in women's
squash action this evening at Kellner Center. Trinity, ranked
No. 3 in the nation, wins its season opener, while the Camels fall
to 1-3 with their third straight setback. All nine individual
matches were won by 3-0 scores. First-year Kanzy El
Defrawy (Cairo, Egypt) also allowed just two points,
making her collegiate debut at the top of the Bantam lineup, and
Trinity sophomore Chanel Erasmus (Capetown, South
Africa) did the same in the No. 7 spot.
