Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College Bantams lost to the
visiting Williams College Ephs, 8-1, in New England Small College
Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's tennis action this
afternoon. Trinity, ranked No. 5 in the Northeast and No. 24
in the nation, falls to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the NESCAC with its
first loss in three matches, while Williams, ranked No. 2 in the
Northeast and No. 3 nationally, improves to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in
the league. Bantam senior tri-captain Anson McCook (Miami,
Fla.) and freshman Ned Mandel (Chevy Chase, Md.) accounted for the
home team's only point with an 8-4 victory at No. 1
doubles.
