Box Score 2 New London, Conn. - Senior tri-captain OH Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) posted her second double-double of the day with 11 kills and 14 digs, while first-year Randi Whitham (South Weymouth, Mass.) and senior tri-captain Amy Hackett (Wallingford, Conn.) combined for 33 assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to 3-0 win over the Johnson and Wales University Wildcats ibn a volleyball tri-match at Connecticut College this afternoon. Bantam rookie L Kristen Cooprider (Hopkinton, Mass.) added 26 digs, as Trinity recovered from a 3-0 loss to the host Camels in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) match earlier in the day to blank the Wildcats and move to 8-4 overall and 0-2 in the league.
In the early NESCAC match, the Camels improved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the league, downing Trinity, 25-20, 25-22 and 27-25. In the second match, the Bantams blanked the Wildcats from Johnson & Wales, winless in 12 matches this season, with game scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-18. Connecticut College defeated Johnson and Wales by a count of 3-1 in the final match of the day. Game scores were 25-16, 25-20, 17-25, and 25-20.
Against the Camels, Trinity was led by Brickley with 13 kill and 11 digs, while sophomore MH
Kate Giddens (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) chipped in with 11 kills, and Hackett dished out 15 assists.
Kristen Cooprider (Hopkinton, Mass.) added 13 digs for the Bantams. Sophomore Caroline Martin (Palo Alto, Calif.) buried 16 kills, while rookie OH Alex Mcdevitt (Medfield, Mass.) had 13 kills to go with 18 digs for Connecticut College.
