(Arlington, Mass.) scored in the 19th minute, as the Trinity
College Bantams managed a 1-1 draw against the visiting Middlebury
College Panthers in New England Small College Athletic Conference
(NESCAC) men's soccer action this afternoon. Trinity
moves to 5-3-2 overall and 1-3-2 in the NESCAC, while Middlebury,
ranked No. 9 in New England, is now 5-2-3 overall and 2-2-3 in the
league.
Cuervo-Torello collected his first goal of the season from
classmate Cody Savonen (Orleans, Mass.) 19:38 into the game.
Middlebury tied the score when Adam Glaser (Washington, D.C.) found
Greg Conrad (Peabody, Mass.) in the 62nd minute. Trinity
freshman goalie Mateo Zabala (Paterson, N.J.) made one save late in
regulation and four of eight stops in the first 10-minute overtime
to preserve the tie. Greg Sydor (Madison, Conn.) finished
with five saves for Middlebury, which held a 23-to-16 shot
advantage and a 10-to-3 edge on corner kicks.
