Claremont, Calif. - The Trinity College Bantams battled the No. 13-ranked Bowdoin College Polar Bears in a neutral-site men's tennis match at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges this evening, falling, 6-3 in their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opener. Trinity, which took two of three doubles matches, drops to 3-3 and the Polar Bears improve to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the league.
Trinity junior tri-captain Dan Carpenter (Wayzata, Minn.) dusted Noah Bragg, in the first set of the No. 1 singles match, 6-1, and pulled out a 7-6 win in the second set, but the Polar Bears won all five of the other singles matches to colect the victory.
