Williamstown, Mass. – The No. 23 Trinity College men's tennis team ended the regular season with a 5-1 loss at No. 14 Williams on Wednesday afternoon in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action. The Bantams will enter the post-season with a 10-4 overall record and 5-3 mark in league play, while the Ephs stand at 9-8 on the year and 3-3 in conference tilts heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

Trinity's lone point on the afternoon came via an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles by the tandem of senior Ilya Levin (Wellesley, Mass.) and sophomore Rutendo Matingo (Weston, Mass.). The match at No. 1 was tightly contested as the Bantam duo of junior Ford Traff (Wayzata, Minn.) and senior quad-captain Musyoka Mbithi (Roxbury, N.J.) dropped an 8-6 decision.

The contest was played to completion as Williams took singles matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 to seal the victory.

Trinity will await the results of other conference games this weekend to determine who they will face in the conference tournament scheduled to begin Friday, May 1st.
