Brunswick, Maine - First-year forward Henry Farr (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) scored the game's only goal in the 100th minute to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 1-0 victory over the Bowdoin College Polar Bears in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's soccer action this afternoon.  Trinity improves to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the NESCAC with its fourth win in a row, while the Polar Bears fall to 5-3-2 overall with a 1-3-1 mark in NESCAC play.

Bowdoin challenged Trinity senior goalkeeper Domenic Quade (Norwood, Mass.), who made six saves to collect his third shutput of the fall, and the Trinity defense early. Moctar Niang missed high and Cedric Charlier forced a diving save by Quade with a pair of shots from the top of the box.  Trinity junior back Matt Firestone (Santa Barbara, Calif.) broke away in the 61st minute for a one-on-one with Bowdoin keeper Noah Safian. Safian denied Firestone to keep the game scoreless.  Bantam senior captain forward Sam Milbury (Peabody, Mass.) skyed a ball just over the net in the 81st minute, quickly followed by Bowdoin shot by Ethan Ellsworth off the crossbar. In the final minute of regulation, Bowdoin earned a corner kick but was unable to convert.

Bowdoin opened the first overtime with a flurry of shots on goal. Charlier booted a shot from inside the box, but saw the ball blocked on the line by a defender.  Entering the second overtime and with the ball played down the left side, Trinity centered a pass into the middle of the box. Senior captain midfielder Oliver Murphy (Montclair, N.J.) found Farr with a light through pass that set up the game-winner. Farr toed the ball over Safian to give the Bantams the win. Bowdoin held a slight 17-to-14 edge in shots and 6-to-3 corner kick advantage.
