Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College women's squash team won at each of the top-seven positions in the lineup in three games each, as the Bantams handed the visiting Columbia University Lions a 8-1 setback in women's squash action this afternoon at Kellner Center. Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the nation, improves to 4-0 heading into a 2 p.m. tilt at Dartmouth tomorrow afternoon. The No. 7-ranked Lions are 1-1.
Trinity junior co-captain Raneem Sharaf (Giza, Egypt), ranked No. 11 nationally among returning individuals, dusted No. 17-ranked Tanvi Khanna (New Delhi, India), 11-7, 11-3, 11-3, at the top of the ladder, while No. 22-ranked Bantam senior co-captain Anna Kimberley (Colchester, England) won 11-7, 11-3, 11-5, against No. 23-ranked Madlen O'Connor (Toronto, Ontario) at the No. 2 spot. Trinity junior Julia LeCoq (Creteil, France) was also dominant with a 11-8, 11-0, 11-5 victory in the No. 5 position, while senior Alexia Echeverria (San Salvador, El Salvador) eked out a 3-2 triumph at No. 8. Adele Bernard (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded the Columbia point with a 2-0 win at the bottom of the ladder.
