Hartford, Conn. - Senior co-captain Sachika Balvani (Mumbai, India) overwhelmed her competition, outscoring two opponents by a combined score of 66-7, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to wins over the Colby College Mules and the Amherst College Purple in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Squash Championship Tournament at George A. Kellner Center.  The host Bantams downed Colby, 8-1, in the quarterfinals this afternoon and downed Amherst, 7-2, in the semifinals to advance to their 10th consecutive league finals tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. against the Williams College Ephs.  The No. 5-ranked Bantams, winners of all nine previous NESCAC titles, improve to 9-3 with the two victories.

Against Colby, all nine Bantams points were earned by 3-0 scores as Balvani, juniors Anna Kimberley (Colchester, England) and Katiria Sanchez (Bronx, N.Y.), and sophomore Karolina Holinkova (Krnov, Czech Republic) each allowed less than 10 total points by her Mule opponent. Trinity senior co-captain Kanzy El Defrawy (Cairo, Egypt) won by a combined score of 33-1 in her match at the top of the lineup against Amherst, and six other Bantams won, 3-0, in the semifinals.
