Clinton, N.Y. - The Trinity College men's tennis team, ranked 11th in the Northeast by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), blanked the Hamilton College Continentals on Sunday in up-state New York. With the win, Trinity improves to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action.
Sophomore Rex Glickman (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and senior tri-captain Ford Traff (Wayzata, Minn.) made quick work of their opponents in doubles action, winning 8-0 in the No. 1 spot for the Bantams. Senior tri-captain Aaron Segel (Needham, Mass.) allowed just two total points in singles action in the No. 4 spot for Trinity, knocking off Hamilton's Burke Paxton (Yarmouth, Maine) 6-2, 6-0. Senior Carlos Ferreyros (Lima, Peru) also yielded just two points in singles action as he won his match by two scores of 6-1. Trinity returns to action next Saturday when they travel to Vermont to take on Middlebury for a 1 p.m. match.
